What we collect.

- When you ask for a quote or book us: your name, phone number, email address, the address of the job and details of the job, often including photos you send by WhatsApp, text or email.

- When we invoice you or you pay us: invoice and payment records. We do not store full card details on this website.

- When you visit this website: with your permission only, cookies that count visitors and measure our adverts (see our Cookie Policy). Our website host also keeps basic technical logs such as IP address and browser type.

- When you use the chat on this website: the messages you type and any details you give us. Replies may come from an automated assistant (Wix Smart Chat) or from us.

- Waste records: the law requires us to keep records of the waste we carry.

Why we use it (our legal reasons).

- To reply to you, give a quote, do the job and take payment: needed for a contract with you, or steps you ask for before one.

- To keep invoices, accounts and waste records: a legal obligation.

- Advertising and analytics cookies: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

- To keep records in case of a complaint or dispute: our legitimate interest in running the business properly.

- To email local businesses about our services (for example hotels, offices and property managers): our legitimate interest in finding customers. We send these to business addresses, say who we are, and stop straight away if you reply "unsubscribe" or email us.

We do not sell your information and we do not send marketing emails or texts to members of the public.

Who we share it with. Only people who help us run the business, and only what they need: our website host and cookie tool (Wix and Usercentrics); Google (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Business Profile reviews); Meta (WhatsApp), if you message us there; our email provider (Google Workspace) and our accountant; and authorities such as the Environment Agency if the law requires it. Waste sites receive the waste, not your personal details. Some of these companies are based outside the UK and use approved safeguards for transfers.

How long we keep it.

- Invoices and accounting records: 6 years, as the law requires for company records.

- Waste transfer notes: 2 years, and hazardous waste consignment notes 3 years, as the law requires for waste carriers.

- Quote enquiries that did not go ahead, photos and messages: no longer than we need them, normally deleted within 12 months of the job or enquiry. The law sets no fixed period for these.

Your rights. You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how we use it, or to stop using it. You can withdraw cookie consent at any time. Email contact@monkminddisposal.com and we will reply within one month.

Complaints. Please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
